
OCTOBER RECAP
October has been a month of momentum, waves, and community! From athlete achievements to exciting upcoming events, here’s a recap of what’s been happening in Singapore’s surfing scene. Athlete Highlights Our local surfers continue to make waves abroad! Congratulations to Camille Spaccarotella for her impressive achievement at the Dongsha Surfing Open China. Winning Silver in the Women's Shortboard Open Division on October 18, 2025, is a testament to her hard work and dedication. Surfer Beckie ranked 11th in the Twinkle Toes Invitiational Longboard contest in Canggu Bali last week competing against world best longboarders. We're proud of their accomplishments and can't wait to see what will they achieves next! Their dedication and performance are inspiring the next generation of riders. At home, our Groms and Juniors are progressing strongly in their training programmes under the Surfing Singapore Pathway, showing impressive enthusiasm to surf in the upcoming monsoon season which is just around the corner. Our Youth Development Squad is gearing up for a competition this coming 26-28 December 2025 in the Kejora Surfing Cup in Tanjung Balau Johor Malaysia. SAS is also opening its membership which is open till 31/10/2025 so hurry and sign up. Community & Development We hosted another successful SURF and SWAP in the city 2.0 , a collaboration with Peninsular Surf Research and Hosted by TRIFECTA introducing newcomers to the fundamentals of surfing and also alternative surfboard care in a fun environment. Thank you to all the volunteers and participants who made it such a positive day! SAS also in discussion to hold the Surf Instructors and Judges Workshop in the future, equipping members with the skills to support competitive surfing events.
