Achievements
In the past year, the association has expanded participation through grassroots programs, beginner workshops, and training initiatives for athletes. We in the midst of introducing coaching and judging courses, ensuring a strong foundation for technical standards. Our athletes have been provided opportunities to compete at regional competitions, building experience and exposure while aligning with pathways toward the SEA Games, Asian Games, and Olympic Games.
Challenges
As a small island nation with limited surf conditions, developing consistent training opportunities remains a challenge. We continue to address this by strengthening partnerships with regional associations, optimizing travel programs, and expanding the disciplines accessible in Singapore, such as stand-up paddle and surf skate.
Outlook
Looking ahead, Surfing Association Singapore remains committed to athlete development, ocean safety education, and sustainable growth of the sport. Our vision is to build a vibrant community that fosters talent and elevates Singapore’s presence on the global surfing stage.
